What’s Anime North? It’s basically a huge fan-run convention where about twenty thousand people went to let their inner nerd hang out. While the title of the con suggests it’s all about Anime, it was pretty broad and catered to people with interests in LARP, tabletop gaming, video games, etc. etc. It was my first time going so I didn’t know what to expect.
The attitude and the vibe of the con was amazing as most people were dressed up as some anime, video game, or TV character (gogo Power Rangers). I felt lame because I was in the minority of people who didn’t bother dressing up. I could pretend like I was in my Peter Parker outfit (because he’s supposed to look like an everyday guy) but that’s just a cheap cop-out. Yeah, I am lazy. Maybe next time I’ll be breakdancing Vegeta (yes I breakdance). Power level >9000!
