Dragonball Z without the filler

So apparently I’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard of this fan-made abridged version of the Dragonball Z series.

There’s no BS with waiting for the smoke to clear from an explosion, people staring at each other, animation loops of people fighting, etc. etc.  So if you’ve been living under a rock like I have, check it out.  It’s a parody re-dub of the DBZ series and pretty funny.

Old but good TV series

These are my favorites:

BattleTech (1994) – At the time, I thought that the 3-D graphics were so cool… by today’s standards they are pretty lame.  This series got cancelled, but giant fighting robots and explosions always have a special place in my heart.

Transformers – More giant fighting robots.

X-men Animated Series – Giant robots fighting mutants.

Spider-Man The Animated Series (1994) – Back in the day, TV series were low on moralizing and higher in animated violence.  Also, they didn’t try to be cool by appealing to a specific age demographic like the reboot of this series.

Special mentions:

Gundam – Yeah… even more giant fighting robots!

Dragonball Z – Lots of interracial violence with extended sequences of people staring at each other when they aren’t powering up or waiting for dust to clear.  For whatever reason, this show is oddly appealing despite having more filler than Taco Bell “beef”.

Power Rangers – Mmm… mindless fighting.
