Howdy all. This week we’re leaving all that boring plot and structure stuff to one side and figuring out who’s the best animal sidekick in geeky media.
Same rules as last time. Any geeky media, Computer games, comic books, cartoons, sci-fi and fantasy TV, movies and books.
I’m going for Appa from the last Airbender. They got a remarkable amount of emotion out of an effectively silent character with virtually no facial movement. Not sure what kind of black magic they used to accomplish this but whatever it was, it’s damn impressive. And if you say you didn’t well up while watching that episode about his journey to Ba-Sing-Se then you’re a dirty liar.
In fact, this whole post may now be pointless. Appa’s been mentioned so there’s probably no point in continuing. Prove me wrong!
